THE CHURCH HEALTH CENTER We are continuing our ministry of collecting empty prescription bottles for the Church Health Center. When preparing the bottles, please make sure to remove all labels and clean the bottles. Please place the empty bottles in the basket to the left of the Church office. The Church Health Center relies on gifts-in-kind to keep costs low. We accept items such as medical supplies, office supplies, dental supplies and medications. Please remember, however, that the Clinic cannot accept medications that are expired or opened. Gifts-in-kind can be delivered to 1210 Peabody Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104. All Saints’ Day It is hard to know where to begin in thanking the many parishioners who helped with one of the most successful and exciting events at All Saints’ in a long time. We celebrated the lives and remembered faithfully and fondly our departed loved ones. Rev. Smith’s plans included a barbecue, bluegrass service, and a time for fellowship. We thank Vicar Don and Faye Cook for designing and mailing invitations to our neighbors. We thank Jim Harrelson for helping the Vicar cook that delicious barbecue – Whole Hog! The kitchen was busy with some of our greatest cooks. We thank Sherry Crone, Cain Carson, Karen Carson, Mary Boyd, and John Cromwell for preparing much of the food, setting up the buffet, and major cleaning up after the picnic. For this we thank them! We thank the parishioners who brought their side dishes to share. We thank the children for bringing joy and laughter to the day. We especially thank those individuals who moved tables and carried chairs before and after the barbecue luncheon. We thank Alan Goolsby for assisting with many of the set up and clean up duties. Our lovely church was lively with the music of Mike’s Bluegrass Stains group and Kevin’s organ. The congregation was introduced to our (newest) Deacon, The Rev. Ron Goldfarb. We thank him for serving All Saints’. We thank the altar servers, altar guild and ushers for their faithful service. Yes, there are many, many people to thank, but we give thanks to our Lord for giving us the gift of all these special people who faithfully serve him and All Saints’ each and everyday.
